Mr. Showkat Aziz Russell has been elected as Vice-Chairman of United Commercial Bank. It was unanimously decided in the Bank’s board meeting held on 30 May, 2011.

He is also the Managing Director of Partex Holdings Ltd, Amber Cotton Mills Ltd, Partex Rotor Spinning Mills Ltd, Partex Denim Ltd, Dhakacom Ltd, Partex Sugar Mills Ltd, Partex Rotor Mills Ltd, Partex Energy Ltd, Partex Spinning Mills Ltd, Rubel Steel Mills Ltd, Russell Steel Mills Ltd, Centrum Ltd, Partex Agrocare Ltd and Partex Board Mills Ltd. He is also the Director of IBAIS University. Apart from that, he is the Vice President of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association.

Mr. Showkat Aziz Russell, son of Mr. M. A. Hashem was born on 16 November 1972 in a well reputed Muslim family at Begumgonj in Noakhali.

Apart from these, he is firmly associated with different educational, social and cultural organizations of the country as an eminent industrialist and philanthropist.
