United Commercial Bank Limited opened its 93rd branch at Chashara, Narayangonj on 21st December, 09. Mr. M. A. Sabur, Chairman Audit Committee and UCB Director inaugurated this new branch and delivered speech about possible business outcomes from this Industrial Zone. Mr. Hajee M. A. Kalam, Chairman, EC and Member of the Board of Directors were present during the inauguration. The Managing Director of the bank Mr. M. Shahjahan Bhuiyan delivered welcome speech to the clients, businessmen and well wishers of Chashara Branch. Addressing the customers, he also gave a brief on UCB’s products and services that can bring a new level of excellence in banking service. He ended the speech by explaining the future plans of UCB. Mr. M. M. Rafiqur Rahman, Company Secretary and SEVP and other executives of Head Office were present during the ceremony. Other than Head Office executives, Mr. Fazlul Haque, President BKMEA, Mr. Selim Osman, President of Narayangonj Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Masud Ahmed Chowdhury, President of Dutch Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Shamim Osman, Ex-Member of Parliament were also present during the inauguration as special guests. A “doa mehfil” was held inside the branch premises after the inauguration.
