Mrs. Qamrun Nahar has been elected Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Directors of United Commercial Bank Ltd, says a press release. This was unanimously decided in the Emergency Board Meeting of the Bank held on 30.01.2008.

Mrs. Qamrun Nahar, wife of Late Humayun Zahir was born on 28th May, 1952 in a respectable Muslim family in the District of Noakhali and obtained her B.Sc(Hons) M.Sc (Bio Chemistry) from Dhaka University. She is the Chairperson, Dhaka Mohila College, Chairperson, Ananta Group Ltd., Managing Director, Ananta Properties Ltd. & Vice Chairperson, Janata Insurance.

Mrs. Qamrun Nahar is a Life Member of Bangladesh Lions Foundation. She is a widely travelled personality and visited many countries of the world  in connection with business and industrial development.
